Legislature’s Winter Session From Tomorrow
Apart from the Unnao and Pilibhit rape cases, the winter session of the Legislature on Tuesday on issues like demolished law and order, price rise and sugarcane prices are expected to be ruckus. The government will also present a supplementary budget on the first day of the session. To finalize the preparations for the winter session, there will be meetings of the Business Advisory Committee and all-party leaders on Monday. At the same time, meetings of major opposition parties will also be held on Monday for the siege of the government in the House. The ruling party is also gearing up to deal with attacks by opposition parties.
Assembly Speaker Hridaynarayan Dixit said that a meeting of party leaders will be held at 1 pm on Monday to run the house in a peaceful and orderly manner. There will also be a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee to finalize the program. The government is also bringing its second supplementary budget on the first day of the upcoming winter session till 20 December. Dixit said that the meeting related to security will not be held this time as security related instructions have been given in the special session held on Constitution Day.
On the other hand, the opposition leader Ram Govind Chaudhary alleged that the government is keeping away from public problems, so the duration of the winter session has been kept very short. On every front, the failing government is looking for ways to avoid the questions of the opposition but it will not be allowed to escape. The strategy for this will be decided at the meeting of the Legislature Party convened at the party headquarters on Monday. Bahujan Samaj Party MLAs have also been called to the party office at 6 pm on Monday. The manner of opposition of the government in the House will also be decided in the meeting. Aradhana Mishra Mona, the leader of the Congress Legislature, claimed that the protest in the House will be done like the BJP protest on the street. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna said that the meeting of the legislators of the ruling party has been held in the past, so there is no justification for meeting again.
In the winter session of the Legislature, starting on Tuesday, the issues such as the collapsing law and order situation of the state, incessant incidents of rape of women at dearness, Unnao and other places, terror of stray animals, purchase of paddy and sugarcane prices will be weaponized by the opposition. Leader of Opposition Ram Govind Chaudhary says that the government has nothing to tell in the name of achievement. Despite the overwhelming majority, the government is not confined. In this session, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party will also be there to bring the tone of BSP and Congress leaders. It remains to be seen whether the said opposition parties come together and attack the government or there will be a situation like their raag in the house.
Sources say that the parties involved in preparing for Mission 2022 are worried about expressing their separate existence. The opposition is more focused on fighting alone in the race to become an alternative to BJP. All eyes are on the party meetings to be held on Monday. If the Leader of Opposition manages to take other parties together, then the Opposition may show some feats.
