Keep Your WhatsApp Chat Safe and Secure Even After Losing Your Phone

WhatsApp is a messaging platform where millions of users send an immense number of message and numbers daily. One thing that can be said about this platform is that people have got used to it, to a great extent. But what happens, if a third person peeps into your private chats and read all your messages. Imagine that your phone has been stolen by someone and you have some important chats that are not safe. What will you do at such time?

1. First of all block your SIM card. Call your Mobile Service Provider. By doing so, nobody will be able to open your WhatsApp.

2. Use the new SIM card and activate WhatsApp by the same name.

3. Always remember that WhatsApp can be activated with only one number at a time.

4. If you do not want to use a new SIM card then please make a mail to this ID – support@whatsapp.com

5. Use this phrase in the email 'Lost / Stolen: Please deactivate my account'. At the same time, write the phone number, which should be in the international format.

6. Backup messages from Google Drive will return your chats. Always do this first.

7. During this time your contacts may send you messages, but they will remain pending for 30 days.

8. If you activate the account again before deleting your account, you will get the pending message.

9. If you do not deactivate your account within 30 days, your account will be deleted forever.

10. Even if you don't proceed for SIM card lock or no phone service, you will not be able to use WhatsApp with the help of Wi-Fi. This will happen when you do not request account deactivation.

11. WhatsApp will not help you locate your lost phone.
