J&K: Amit Shah’s First Visit After Abrogation of Article 370

This is Shah's first visit to J&K 25 months after the abrogation of Article 370 on 5 August 2019. He paid tribute to Parvez and met his family members.

Home Minister Amit Shah arrived on a visit to J&K on Saturday. He held a high-level meeting regarding security arrangements at Raj Bhavan in Srinagar. This is Shah's first visit to Jammu and Kashmir 25 months after the abrogation of Article 370 on 5 August 2019. Lt Governor Manoj Sinha welcomed the Home Minister at the Srinagar airport. Shah reached the house of martyr Inspector Parvez Ahmed Dar of Jammu and Kashmir CID directly from here. He paid tribute to Parvez and met his family members.

J&K Police is trying diligently to realize

After the meeting, Shah said on social media that he went to the house of martyr Jawan Parvez Ahmed to pay tribute to him. I and the entire nation are proud of his bravery. Met his family members and gave his wife a government job. Shah has said that the J&K Police is trying diligently to realize the new J&K that Modi Ji has envisioned. After the terrorist attacks in Kashmir and attacks on non-Kashmiris within the last few days, Shah's visit is considered very important from the security point of view. Shah will hold many important meetings in Jammu and Kashmir for 3 days.

In view of Shah's visit, the Home Ministry has specially deployed snipers, drones and sharpshooters in Kashmir, they have been sent to oversee the strategic point. Shah will also hold a high-level meeting at Raj Bhavan with RAW chief Samant Kumar Goel, senior army officers, 12 big security officers including the IB Chief. IB Chief Arvind Kumar, DGP CRPF and NIA Kuldeep Singh, DGP NSG and CISF MA Ganpati, DGP BSF Pankaj Singh, DGP J&K Dilbag Singh, Army Commander and three top Corps Commanders also attended the Unified Command Meet. Will be included.

Security tightened in the Valley

Tight security arrangements have been made across Kashmir for the visit of the Home Minister. Senior officers of IB, NIA, Army, CRPF are currently camping in Jammu and Kashmir. They are monitoring each and every intelligence inputs.

Additional paramilitary personnel have been deployed in Srinagar. 10 additional companies of CRPF and 15 additional companies of BSF have been deployed across the Union Territory. Along with this, round-the-clock surveillance is being done with drones and intelligence cameras. A team of CRPF is patrolling in Dal Lake and Jhelum river. Tight security arrangements have also been made in every road and alleyway.

Shah's visit message to terrorists

Shah's visit is also being linked to recent terrorist activities in the Valley. In fact, in the last 15 days, terrorists have been targeting non-Kashmiris in different incidents. 11 people have died in recent incidents. At the same time, the security forces have also carried out Operation Clean in the entire valley to respond to the terrorists. In the last 15 days, 17 terrorists have been killed in 11 encounters with security forces in the Kashmir Valley. At the same time, 9 soldiers have also been martyred. Shah also wants to give a message to the terrorists from this visit. He has instructed the security forces to take strict action against the terrorists.

Srinagar was decorated by Tricolour

A large number of tricolour flags have been put up on both sides of almost all the roads of Srinagar on Shah's arrival. The road from Dal Lake to Hotel Centaur is beautifully decorated. Huge hoardings and posters have also been put up welcoming Shah.
