Jammu and Kashmir: Fire Broke Out in Room Number-4 of Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan, Situation Under Control

A fire broke out in room number-4 of Vaishno Devi Bhawan in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday evening. The Chief Executive Officer of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board said on the incident that the fire has been brought under control. The cause of the fire is said to be short circuit. The cash counter was completely gutted due to the fire in the Vaishno Devi Shrine premises, the official said.

Fire Broke out at 4:30 pm

The fire started around 4.30 pm. Police said that there was no damage of any kind in it. It is worth mentioning that every month lakhs of devotees come here to visit Mata Vaishno.

But this accident happened during the restrictions imposed due to corona infection. Due to this, there was no presence of a large number of devotees there. Otherwise, there could have been a possibility of a stampede and some major accident.

No Major Damage Reported

On the incident of fire in Vaishno Shrine, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said that there is no major damage there. He told that he spoke to DC ReAC C. Charandeep Singh and took full information about it from him. Thankfully everything was brought under control. No major damage has been done keeping a close watch for the next few hours.
