With the onset of the Diwali festival season, the demand for mawa has suddenly increased in the market. To meet the demand in the market, fake mawa is being sold in the market. A lot of adulteration is being done in the pursuit of big profits. It is so dangerous that it is giving slow death and affecting the kidney and liver. Fake mawa is being supplied in large numbers in the surrounding districts including Jaipur. There is a large network of fake mawa manufacturers in the vicinity of Jaipur. There are not one or two but more than 300 furnaces in these villages. You just have to place your demand. When the team placed a demand for 100 kg mawa, it was claimed to be supplied by preparing and supplying this fake mawa within 1 hour.

Fake mawa made shocking revelations

Most of the houses in these villages have kilns. Reaching here was no less than a danger. Many factories are built in the forests away from the village. Here Mawa was being prepared at more than 15 furnaces simultaneously. When the team reached the village, a confectioner making mawa made shocking revelations. The confectioner told that the demand for mawa increases so much in the festival that fake mawa has to be prepared.

Confectioners have to be called on contract 15 days in advance from outside. These days, mawa is being sold in most of the furnaces. When the demand for mawa increases, the supply of milk is not available. For this, the first 100 kg of milk is prepared from 10 kg of milk. After this, a fake mawa is prepared from it. There is no fear of getting caught in the villages. When the team comes, everything is settled.

Prepared in front of the camera 

A confectioner associated with this business made big revelations about fake mawa. He even made a fake mawa in front of the camera on the condition of not revealing his name and identity. He told that normally 10 litres of milk is mixed with powder to make 100 litres of that milk. After adding milk to the pan, add alum and flour. Adding alum makes the mawa ready quickly. After this, refined oil is added for smoothness.

The confectioner made a fake mawa and showed it in front of the team in 2 minutes. He told that 100 grams of mawa come out in one litre of milk, but fake mawa is made up to 300 grams. When asked how many days he fulfils the demand of 100 kg of mawa, the confectioner told that in a few hours up to 100 kg of mawa is prepared and supplied in the market.

Costing Rs 140, selling up to Rs 250 in the market

The confectioner told the team that on normal days they consume about 100 kg daily, but on Diwali, its consumption increases up to 5 times. About 500 kg of mawa is supplied. It costs around Rs 140 to make one kg of fake mawa. It is sold in the market for Rs 220 to 250 per kg, while the price of mawa made from pure milk is Rs 300 per kg. In this way, he earns a hefty profit of about Rs 100 per kg.
