An engineering student has committed suicide at the country's renowned Malviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) in Jaipur. Standing on the cooler in the hostel room, hanged himself with a bedsheet and committed suicide. The incident happened at midnight on Thursday. On Friday morning when the nearby students saw him, they informed the police. The reason for committing suicide is not clear. No suicide note has also been found. The name of the student who committed suicide is Gaurav Baheti (21). He was a resident of Karanavati Colony located in the city of Ganga in Bikaner.
Malviya Nagar police station in-charge Dharmaraj Choudhary said that Gaurav was a third-year engineering student in the Electric Branch in MNIT. Here he lived alone in room number B 303 in the Aurobindo hostel built in the institute campus. He had returned to the hostel from his home on August 8 itself.
According to the police station in-charge Dharmaraj, preliminary information revealed that Gaurav was seen in the room at 9:30 pm on Thursday. After this, he did not come out of the room on Friday morning. During this, his phone was ringing for a long time as someone calling him. After repeatedly ringing the mobile phone, the nearby friends got suspicious that why Gaurav was not receiving the phone. Why is his phone ringing again and again? Friends living in the neighbouring rooms, peeping through the glass skylight made above in the room, saw Gaurav hanging on the noose.
Seeing Gaurav hanging from the noose in the room. Friends tried to enter by breaking the door. But did not succeed. Then breaking the glass of the skylight above the room, somehow entered inside. After that, the latch was opened from inside. The hostel management and friends together brought down Gaurav. He was immediately rushed to SMS hospital. There the doctors declared Gaurav brought dead. After this Malviya Nagar police reached the spot. The family also reached Jaipur on Friday afternoon.
