The phase -2 of IPL 2021 will be played in the UAE from September 19. Meanwhile, KKR skipper Eoin Morgan has confirmed that he will take part in the second half of the 14th season of the tournament. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has postponed the three ODIs and three T20 matches against Bangladesh to be held in September-October. Asking if other England players will take part in the second half of IPL 2021? Regarding this, Morgan said that it will be everyone's personal decision.

Meanwhile, Morgan currently plays for London Spirit in The Hundred. On Tuesday, his team had to face defeat against Northern Superchargers. After this match, he confirmed that he will be seen playing in the remaining matches of the IPL. He told other England players playing in the IPL that whether they want to join the league after the postponement of the Bangladesh tour will be a completely personal decision.

Phase 2 will begin on September 19:

Morgan said that he believes that playing the IPL will be beneficial for both the players.  If we went to Bangladesh we'd play in conditions that are foreign to us. If some guys go to the IPL, they'll play in similar conditions [to the World Cup] or for guys that need a rest, they take a rest. We've a lot of cricket to play between now and then.

"We've planned on the tour going ahead — that's been part of our planning for a long time now — but equally, given the nature in which we now compete and live our lives, it's not a bad thing for guys to either take time off or go to the IPL if they feel refreshed and have enough energy," he added.

Last month, the BCCI announced the schedule of the remaining matches of IPL 2021 to be held in the UAE. A total of 31 matches will be played over a period of 27 days. Meanwhle, the 14th season was postponed last May due to COVID-19 cases. The second half will begin with the match between CSK and MI)  in Dubai on 19 September.
