Review petitions filed in the Ayodhya case will be considered in the Supreme Court on Thursday. A court list will be released on Wednesday evening in which a definite time will be fixed for the hearing of the case. The list will also name the new judge of the bench who will join it after Justice Ranjan Gogoi retires.
The bench which gives the verdict, hears the review petition. But as Justice Gogoi retires, a new judge is being inducted into the bench. It is worth mentioning that the reconsideration petition is heard in the Chamber itself and is dismissed here as well.
But if the bench feels that the hearing should be held in the court, then it is sent to the court. Seven Muslim people, one from the Hindu Mahasabha and another 40 people have filed reconsideration petitions in the case.
