During the hearing of the Supreme Court on air pollution in Delhi NCR, Chief Justice NV Raman said that many applications have come to us. There is a demand of a trade union that construction work should be started. At the same time, two farmers have demanded to lift the ban on stubble. To this Solicitor General, Tushar Mehta said that whatever the ban was till November 21, now the situation has become better.

Preparation to fight pollution

He said that on November 16, the Air Quality Index in Delhi was 403, which has now reached 290. Reports suggest that the situation will improve further by November 26 due to wind. On this, the court said that there should be scientific preparation to fight pollution, how will the airflow in the coming days. Preparation can be done for this. The court reprimanded the Center saying that when the weather is bad, measures are taken. Measures should also be taken to prevent air pollution. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the court that special buses have been run for central employees to promote public transport. These buses are running from 22 November. The court said that we will not give the final verdict regarding air pollution in Delhi-NCR. This is a serious issue. We will continue hearing it and pass a detailed order. The court will next hear the matter on November 29.
