Kalyan Singh, who made the anti-copying law while Chief Minister in Uttar Pradesh, got the distribution of Degrees stuck in Government universities for 26 years as soon as he took the post of Governor in Rajasthan. The convocation of Universities was also historic. In many ceremonies, Kalyan Singh distributed degrees to three generations simultaneously with his own hand.

Degrees were not being distributed for nearly two and a half decades before Kalyan Singh took over as Chancellor. At the same time, he stopped the degree in black gown at the convocation of universities, saying that it is part of foreign culture. He started the tradition of pursuing a degree in Indian dress. Kalyan Singh also made it mandatory for all universities to put 100 feet high national flag, statue of Swami Vivekananda, vice-chancellors of universities.

Kalyan Singh's five-year term as Governor of Rajasthan ended on Tuesday. On the last day of his tenure, on Tuesday, he sought information about the recruitment process of government universities and instructed the officials to promote education in tribal areas.
