Dr. Manmohan Singh will Never go on the Call of Pakistan: Congress

Congress spokesperson Pranab Jha said that Manmohan Singh will be part of the first batch as a devotee who will go to Kartarpur Gurdwara along with other Indian officials.

The Congress spokesperson said that if Manmohan Singh had gone to the inauguration ceremony in Pakistan, this invitation would have come from the Government of India and not from the Government of Pakistan. Pranab Jha said, "Remember that Manmohan Singh remained the PM for 10 years but did not visit Pakistan even once".

Earlier, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had said that former Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh also comes as a common man at the inauguration ceremony of Kartarpur Corridor on November 9. Earlier, a request from Islamabad to Manmohan Singh to be the chief guest at this inauguration ceremony came but the former PM rejected the request.

Pakistan's Foreign Minister had said that the entire preparations for the inauguration ceremony are in the final stages and it will be inaugurated by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. This corridor will be connected to Dera Baba Nanak of Punjab in India with Darbar Sahib Gurdwara in Kartarpur, Pakistan.

Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, spent the last days of his life here. It is expected that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate this corridor from India on November 8.
