IRCTC has started an online ticket booking service. IRCTC has decided to manage online ticket booking to manage social distancing. So that the crowd of passengers does not gather on the platform for tickets. Currently, IRCTC has started the service of trains and for this, passengers can book tickets through online. To book tickets through IRCTC website, firstly you must have an account with IRCTC. If you do not have an account, you can create it in your simple way. For this, you have to register by visiting the website of IRCTC. you will be asked for some detail. This includes name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, address etc. After this, your IRCTC account will be created as soon as you click on the Register button.
To create an account, you have to sign in by clicking on the login button and putting your mail id and password. After this, on the option of Book your ticket, select your destination, date of journey. Where you will get the list of those trains which have just been started. IRCTC has just started only 15 trains and has also clarified that passengers can book tickets only in AC coaches.
After clicking on Check availability, you will get information about the availability of the train and if the seat is available then click on Book Now. A new web page will open in front of you, where you will have to give your personal details, including name, date of birth and age etc. After filling the requested details on this page, click on Continue. After this, the payment option will come and your ticket will be booked as soon as this process is complete.
