Amid differences within the BJP's West Bengal unit, party's West Bengal chief Dilip Ghosh is likely to meet the party's National president JP Nadda in New Delhi on Sunday. He will discuss a range of issues with Nadda. Though Ghosh was not ready to speak on the matter, a source in the state BJP said that he reached Delhi late on Saturday night.

After the defeat in the assembly elections held earlier this year, differences in the BJP's Bengal unit have intensified. Earlier, Mukul Roy left the party and returned to the Trinamool Congress. In such a situation, Ghosh's visit to Delhi considered important. Though Ghosh declined to comment on the meeting, party sources indicated that the meeting was an indication that there could be several changes in the organizational structure of the state BJP.

Saumitra Khan resigned from the post of Yuva Morcha president:

According to a senior BJP leader, "All these issues, including how to boost the morale of party workers who are bearing the direct brunt of post-poll violence, could be discussed in the meeting. The issues were being discussed. The decision would be taken by the party's policymakers."

Saumitra Khan recently resigned from the post of Yuva Morcha president and openly criticized Ghosh and Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari. Though, he later withdrew his resignation. According to some leaders, the incident had torn the image of the party. Earlier, Ghosh said that Supriyo had been an active minister, but the chief minister used to abuse him a lot.
