Delhi's Tis Hazari court will give its verdict on December 20 on the conviction of UP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, convicted in the Unnao rape case in 2017. Dharmesh Sharma's court reserved its verdict after hearing both sides on the sentence on Tuesday. According to law experts, due to the addition of Poxo Section, the court can sentence the convict Kuldeep Singh Sengar to life imprisonment under the maximum sentence.During the debate on the sentence, the lawyer for the victim's minor girl has demanded maximum punishment for the guilty.The maximum punishment in this case under POCSO is the provision of life imprisonment. During the debate on the sentence, the counsel for the victim side also demanded compensation.

Along with this, it said in favor of the accused that there is no shortage of money, so maximum compensation should be provided.The defense counsel said that the entire life of MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar has been devoted to the service of the public. Kuldeep Sengar has been elected as MLA since 2002. The MLA has done many development works during this period.

At the same time, the court sought the affidavit of Kuldeep Singh Sengar for the election of UP Assembly Elections 2017 to pay the compensation amount. In the hearing held on Monday, the Tis Hazari court convicted the expelled MLA from Uttar Pradesh BJP Kuldeep Sengar in the Unnao rape case, while acquitting Shashi Singh.

While convicted, Judge Dharmesh Sharma's court found the victim to be a minor and found MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar guilty under the POCSO Act. With the conviction, the court had fixed December 19 as the date for debate on the sentence, but the lawyer for the convict had appealed for the debate on Tuesday itself, on which the court fixed the next day i.e. Tuesday.
