The Supreme Court will pronounce judgment in the defamation case filed against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today. BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi had filed a contempt petition in the Supreme Court following the controversial statement 'Chowkidar Chor Hai' given by Rahul Gandhi.

The Supreme Court reserved the verdict on 10 May after hearing the application for defamation filed in this case. During the hearing, after Rahul Gandhi apologized unconditionally to the statement of Chowkidar Chor Hai quoting the Supreme Court, the petitioner had said that Rahul Gandhi has said this in public, in such a situation, he should apologize to the people for this. The Supreme Court reserved the decision thereafter.

After the contempt petition was filed, Rahul Gandhi apologized unconditionally in the Supreme Court regarding the matter. Rahul Gandhi also linked the slogan of 'Chowkidar Chor Hai' against the PM Modi order of the Supreme Court related to Rafale.

It is known that the Supreme Court will pronounce three important decisions today, including Rahul Gandhi's watchman is a thief. Including the Sabarimala temple in Kerala and the Rafale case.
