Constitution Bench will Hear in October: SC

Several petitions were filed in the Supreme Court challenging the Central Government's decision to repeal most of the provisions of Article 370, ending the status of Special State from Jammu and Kashmir. During the hearing on all those petitions today (Wednesday), the Supreme Court issued a notice to the Center and all the others, saying that a Five-judge constitution bench would hear all the petitions related to Article 370 in the first week of October. Explain that a total of 14 petitions in this case have been heard in the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court also issued a notice to the Center on a petition by Kashmir Times Executive Editor Anuradha Bhasin, directing it to reduce the ban on internet, landline and other communication channels. The SC sought a detailed reply from the Center within seven days.

At the same time, the Supreme Court also rejected the Central Government's request to appoint a negotiator for Jammu and Kashmir. In fact, the petition demanded removal of restrictions, including restrictions on media in Jammu and Kashmir. Advocate ML Sharma filed a petition against the Central Government's decision to repeal Article 370 of the Central Government.
