Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal while condoling the death of former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said that India has lost a great leader. Sushma Swaraj was a very lively figure. May her soul rest in peace. Sushma Swaraj, the longest leader of BJP and the first Chief Minister of Delhi has passed away at the age of 67 years.

Sushma Swaraj has died of a heart attack late on Tuesday night. Sushma Swaraj is survived by her husband Rajkaushal and her daughter. Sushma tweeted and congratulated the PM on the removal of Article 370 in Kashmir by the Central Government on Tuesday evening. She suffered a heart attack shortly thereafter. According to information received from hospital sources, he was admitted to AIIMS at 10.15 am in a very critical condition, where he breathed his last.

Sushma Swaraj was ill for a long time. Due to his health reasons, she decided not to contest the Lok Sabha elections in the year 2019. His kidney was transplanted from AIIMS in April 2016.

Sushma, as foreign minister, always came out as a troubleshooter for Indians trapped outside the country. His activism in social media often fascinated people. She immediately responded to the tweet. Not only this, after telling a problem to them by tweeting, she used to finish it whole heartedly.

Sushma, on several occasions in the United Nations, strongly favored India. She always reinforced healthy traditions of democracy, not only BJP but through her sharp speeches and interventions as Leader of Opposition during UPA Government. She had the distinction of being the first woman spokesperson of a party, the first young woman MP, the first woman Chief Minister of Delhi and the first woman foreign minister.
