Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is taking a new path of politics. Captain can announce his new party today. Ahead of the announcement of the new party, he has indicated that he may agree to an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party if the BJP resolves important issues. During the meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah, there was a discussion on finding a way out regarding the farmers' movement. Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait also told in many forums that there is such news that the Captain is making efforts, the farmers are ready for talks with the government.
Captain can give his opinion on important issues like BSF and agriculture law during the press conference today. There has been a stir in the politics of Punjab regarding the new party of the Captain. There are reports of several Congress MLAs being in touch with him. In such a situation, the path of victory in Punjab may be more difficult for Congress. Congress is busy establishing contact with its MLAs.
The name of the Captain's party will be associated with the name of the Congress. When Mamata Banerjee formed her party in West Bengal, she named it Trinamool Congress. The name of Sharad Pawar's party is also Nationalist Congress Party. Captain Amarinder Singh will also form a new party with a similar name. According to the ongoing discussion in the political corridors, ten Congress MLAs will share the stage with Captain in the formation of the new party. Along with them, the Captain's wife, MP Preneet Kaur, will also accompany the Captain.
This is not the first time that he is forming his new party. Even before this, in the year 1992, he separated himself from the Akali Dal and formed the Shiromani Akali Dal party. In the 1998 elections, he had to face defeat on two seats Patiala and Talwandi Sabo. After this he took the hand of Congress, now after a long time, he is once again forming his own party.
It is not easy for Captain Amarinder Singh to move on the path of power in Punjab by forming a new party. A few days ago, he had tweeted and told that his supporters are getting threats, they are being harassed. In this regard, tweeting on social media, Captain said, I want to tell my opponents that they cannot beat me with such a low-level political game. Such steps will neither win votes nor people's hearts, he has said that he is not afraid of such antics.
