CAA will not Affect any Citizen of the Country: Rajnikanth

There are so many protests going on across the country against Citizen Amendment Act (CAA). But South superstar Rajinikanth has come out in favor of the CAA. He has said that CAA will not affect any citizen of the country. If this affects any Muslim, they will be the first to stand with him. During this, he questioned, 'How can Muslims who remained in India after partition be sent out of the country? Some political parties are provoking people for their selfishness. He also blamed religious leaders for the protests against the law and called it 'very wrong'. He has also given a statement in favor of the National Population Register (NPR). Rajinikanth said about NPR that NPR is necessary to find out about outsiders. It has been clarified that NRC is not yet ready. Rajinikanth further said that the government has assured that no Indian will be harmed by the CAA.

It is believed that Rajinikanth may enter politics before the Tamil Nadu elections next year. He did not participate in the Lok Sabha elections last year to focus on the Tamil Nadu assembly elections. He urged the students to analyze the subjects and hold the protest only after discussing it with their professors. He said that violence and riot should not be a means to find a solution to any issue.

Since the citizenship law was passed in Parliament in December, there has been a lot of opposition to it. Opposition parties have targeted the government, describing it as against Muslims. At the same time, the government has told it a lie. According to the government, this law provides for citizenship to religious minorities of Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan, who came to India till 31 December 2014 due to persecution from there.  The government has said that this law is only about giving citizenship and not to take away citizenship. This will not hurt any Indian citizen.
