Britain's Ambassador to Iran Rob Macaire was arrested for a few hours for his involvement in the protests. The Iranian police later released him. Iran has alleged that Macaire was involved in the protests. The British government has expressed its displeasure over this matter. Britain's Foreign Secretary Dominic Robb said that our ambassador was detained in Tehran without any reason, which is a violation of international law.

According to the report, hundreds of students were protesting against the Ukraine plane crash outside Amir Kabir University in Tehran. It also included Rob Macaire. The protesters demanded that the Iranian government take concrete action against those responsible for the plane crash. The police also used light force when the protests intensified.

British Ambassador Rob Macaire has been accused by Iranian police of instigating the protesters. Hence the protest intensified and the police had to struggle to take it under control. During this time the ambassador was arrested for a few hours but later released. The British government has expressed serious displeasure over this incident.

Iran admitted on Saturday that it was he who accidentally killed a Ukraine plane on the outskirts of Tehran. Iran has called it a 'human mistake'. There were 176 people on the plane. Iran said that the culprits will not be spared. According to Tehran-based Press TV, in a statement Iran's armed forces general staff said that security forces were on high alert at the time of the accident on Wednesday. During this time the Ukrainian aircraft was accidentally killed.
