Punjab Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Capt Amarinder Singh said that Rahul Gandhi's party presidential post was disappointing. He hoped that the Congress Working Committee would appoint a young and Energetic party's new president. He said that elderly leaders now need to leave the path for young leaders.
Considering the number of youth in the country, the Captain demanded from the party working committee that he should appoint a young leader as the president, who can fill the enthusiasm of the workers across the country.
Captain said that Rahul has shown the path of youth leadership to take the party to higher heights. The number of young people in India is highest, due to which it is natural that a young man should be given command of the party. He said that 65 percent of the country's population is below 35 years of age.
Captain said that Rahul's resignation is disappointing and it is very bad for the party. In this situation, the party can be extended only by the leadership of another dynamic young leader.
He said, Rahul Gandhi has communicated a new energy in the party, which needs to be further extended. The party needs a young leader who can once again make Congress a party of the country. He said that the young leader of visionary thinking can only land the country in a wreath and can fill new thinking in the party.
