Gajendra Singh Shaktawat, MLA from Vallabhnagar in Udaipur, died in Delhi. Shaktawat, 48, was admitted to ILBS Hospital. He was undergoing treatment for the last 37 days due to liver problem. He breathed his last at 5 am Wednesday.
Shaktawat also developed a corona infection during treatment, but he had defeated the corona. His corona investigation report came negative. He became the second time MLA from Vallabhnagar assembly seat in Udaipur.
Earlier in 2008, he reached the assembly by winning a seat on a Congress party ticket. After this, the party also gave him the responsibility of parliamentary secretary. Let me tell you that he was the son of former Home Minister Gulab Singh Shaktawat, a strong leader of the Congress.
There is an atmosphere of grief in his supporter after the death of Gajendra Singh Shaktawat. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasara, former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot have also expressed condolences on the death of Shaktawat.
CM Ashok Gehlot Cancelled Cabinet Meeting Today
At the same time, CM Gehlot has also canceled the cabinet meeting to be held today after the death of Shaktawat. Please tell that Gajendra Singh was considered a special leader of the powerful Sachin Pilot camp.
In the recent political developments, Shaktawat supported Sachin Pilot. Even Ashok Gehlot tweeted for him on his twitter handle. Ashok Gehlot even said that he was in touch with the doctor as well who was taking care of Gajendra Singh.
