Uttarakhand: CM Rawat and other Cabinet Ministers Home Quarantined, Decision taken after Satpal Maharaj found Positive

Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat and other cabinet members have moved to Home Quarantine. It is being told that Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat has been placed in the home quarantine along with all other cabinet ministers who attended the cabinet meeting on 29 May. Uttarakhand Minister Madan Kaushik said that the decision has been taken after tourism minister Satpal Maharaj who attended the meeting was found to be Covid positive. Let us tell you that in the investigation report of 22 persons including state tourism minister Satpal Maharaj, his family and members of the staff on Sunday, there has been a stir in the confirmation of them being corona infected.

Maharaj attended the state cabinet meeting on Friday and then him, his former cabinet minister wife Amrita Rawat and his family and workers were found to be corona infected, causing panic in the governance-administration after which the chief minister Trivandra Singh Rawat is being considered to be kept in isolation with other cabinet members. Sources said that the entire cabinet could be examined for corona if deemed necessary. On Saturday, Maharaja's wife Amrita Rawat confirmed herself to be corona infected by the investigation report, after which Maharaja and other members of his family were examined on Sunday. On the other hand, his house and street located in the Dalanwala area in Dehradun have been completely sealed.

Amrita Rawat was admitted to AIIMS Rishikesh in the afternoon while Maharaj, his two sons, both sons bride and a half-year-old grandson reached AIIMS Rishikesh at night. AIIMS Rishikesh Public Relations Officer Harish Thapliyal said that Maharaj and other members of his family were rushed to the hospital in three ambulances where they have been admitted for isolation for treatment. Meanwhile, in Uttarakhand, 158 new patients were found to be infected by the corona virus on Sunday and the total number of victims reached to 907.

According to the bulletin released by the state health department here, the maximum 49 new patients have found in Dehradun while 31 in Nainital, 20 in Udham Singh Nagar, 18 in Almoda, 17 in Haridwar, seven in Uttarkashi, six in Pauri Garhwal, in Champawat there are four, three in Tehri, two in Chamoli and one new patient in Rudraprayag. According to the bulletin, five Covid-19 patients have died while 102 patients have returned home after treatment, whereas three patients have gone out of state. Most of the patients who came on Sunday have come from outside and traveled in the state.
