Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in a press conference on Tuesday that every effective step is being taken with the help of Government of India to prevent the spread of corona virus infection in the state. Of all the cases of corona virus reported so far in the state, more than half i.e. around 55 percent of the cases are related to tablighi Jamaat. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that a total of 308 corona virus cases have been reported in the state so far, of which 168 cases are related to the people belonging to the Tabligi Jamaat.
Yogi Adityanath said that when there was a first case of corona infection in the state, there was not a single testing lab, but currently 10 testing labs are working successfully here. The Chief Minister has announced that testing collection centers will be set up in all 75 districts of the state. For this, a committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary Medical Education. There are 24 government medical colleges in the state, out of which 10 colleges have Covid-19 testing facility and action is being taken to establish testing facility in the remaining 14 colleges. Instructions are also given for upgrading 10 already established labs.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government has set up the Chief Minister Relief Fund for the war against Covid-19, which is getting wide support from various sections and people of the society along with the people’s representatives. This fund will be used to increase Covid-19 testing facility and increase the number of hospitals within the state. In addition, it will be used to advance the process of manufacturing anti-corona useful devices such as PPE kits, M3 masks, 3 layer masks, and thermal scanning meters.
Adityanath said that there are six Commissionerate Divisional Headquarters within Uttar Pradesh where there is no government medical college. Here the government is going to set up Covid-19 Testing Lab on its behalf, the divisional headquarters are Gonda, Mirzapur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Varanasi and Aligarh.
Yogi Adityanath said that the Government of India as well as all the State Governments is constantly making efforts to get India out of this global epidemic completely. Ail lock down of 130 million people for better health and safe future is necessary and all people should cooperate in this. We assure that food crisis will not happen in the state. There will be no laxity in treatments, the campaign which has been started to save from Corona will surely succeed.
