US President Donald Trump Threatened Iran over Protests outside US Embassy in Baghdad

On the very first day of the New Year, US President Donald Trump has threatened Iran. On Tuesday, thousands of Iranian-backed protesters protested against US outside the US embassy in the Iraq's capital, Baghdad. In response to this, US President Donald Trump has threatened Iran that Iran will have to pay a huge price if something happens to a member of the embassy. Donald Trump tweeted that the security system at the US Embassy in Iraq had been restored several hours ago. Many of our brave soldiers arrived at the scene with the world's most dangerous warheads. I thank the President of Iraq and the Prime Minister for this entire matter that they took immediate action.

Trump further wrote, "Iran will be held fully responsible for lives lost, or damage incurred, at any of our facilities. They will pay a very BIG PRICE! This is not a Warning, it is a Threat. Happy New Year!" Following this aggressive tweet by the US President, US Secretary of Defense Mark Asper has announced to send 750 troops to the Middle East region immediately. At the same time, the US has informed that American officials are safe inside the US embassy in Baghdad, which was attacked by Iran supporters, and there are no plans to evacuate them. It also said that America is sending more troops to Baghdad to protect its embassy. The US State Department gave this information on Tuesday. A State Department spokesman said in his statement that US officials were safe and that their security system had not been pierced. The spokesman also said that there is no plan to evacuate the embassy in Baghdad. He said that US Ambassador to Iraq Matt Tuller had gone out for personal reasons and is returning to the embassy.

Recently, the US launched an airstrike on the bases of Iran-backed extremist groups in Iraq. Thousands of Iran-backed protesters gathered outside the US Embassy compound in Baghdad to protest the attack and tried to enter the embassy. The protesters attacked the embassy. The US military retaliated by seeing this and released tear gas shells to disperse the protesters. Even after this, the protesters jumped inside the outer wall of the embassy premises. Furious mob set fire to a security checkpoint outside the embassy. After this, US President Donald Trump alleged that Iran is behind this whole episode. President Trump said that Iran would have full responsibility for the attack. Earlier on Sunday, the US bombed Qatib Hezbollah extremist organization's bases in western Iraq and eastern Syria. At least 25 Hezbollah fighters were killed in the US attack. The American said it was retaliating, saying that it had retaliated for the attack on its military base in Kirkuk, Iraq on Friday. Significantly, an American contractor was killed in a Friday attack on a US military base.
