UPSC Participants on Scoring Better Results are getting More Jobs

Participants in the Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC, has started getting better results. There are positive signs of hiring from private companies and other institutions based on these scores. After this, more and more participants are opting for this. More than fifteen thousand participants have opted to put their marks in the public domain after the UPSC examination. When it was used in 2017, only 800 students chose this option.

This trend of putting marks in the public domain was accelerated when for the first time more than two hundred students got jobs with this experiment. In 2018, this figure reached 6 thousand and about 1 thousand of these students were called for interviews by private companies for jobs. According to sources, in addition to the civil service examination, if engineering and forest service are also merged, then this year, 14 thousand students chose this option.

The DoPT introduced this system in 2016. The DoPT says that making the marks public will give private companies a bigger option to find qualified candidates. In this system, information like a student's educational qualification and information about contacting them with the marks obtained in the examination is found at one place. For this, NIC has specially created a website. But UPSC takes the consent of the participant before making one's marks or degree public. This is asked in advance when filling the form for the examination. The government is trying to implement this system in more and more examinations.
