UP: Plasma Therapy Started with King George Medical University

Treatment of plasma therapy has started on the plan of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to curb the deadly coronavirus infection and save the lives of the people affected by it.  It started from King George Medical University in Lucknow on Sunday.

A doctor (anesthesia specialist) was admitted to King George Medical University (KGMU) on Friday.  This doctor is a 1981 batch Georgiana.    On Sunday the condition of the doctor suffering from corona became critical.  He was given oxygen support when he had trouble breathing.  Plasma therapy was planned to occur if the condition did not improve.  He was having trouble breathing.  The oxygen level in the body was reduced significantly.  The condition on his ventilator was also not being controlled.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had said in a meeting on Sunday morning with the core team that it should now consider increasing plasma therapy to treat corona-affected patients, as it has yielded good results.  Arrangement of all necessary resources in the hospitals of the state should be ensured.

The first corona victim of Lucknow came forward to save the life of a corona patient who reached the King George Medical University to set the example of righteousness by donating plasma in the Pak month of Ramadan yesterday.  The first dose of plasma at night has been given to a patient struggling with death on the ventilator.  Now doctors are waiting for his condition to improve.
