In Uttar Pradesh, there has been a huge shortage of hand sanitizers and masks due to the threat of coronavirus. In view of this, inmates of UP are now making face masks. Inmates in 11 jails including Lucknow in UP are making face masks for the people. In the prison workshop, inmates have been trained to make masks so that they can be supplied outside and the inmates can also earn.

Thousands of masks are being prepared in Lucknow jail every day which are being sold in government hospitals and jail shops. Jail inmates are also being trained to make hand sanitizer. Soaps are being distributed to the inmates in the jail to stay safe from COVID-19. Prisoners are also being made aware about cleanliness. After distributing the pamphlet, they are being told how to avoid its infection.

On the other hand, a junior doctor of King George Medical University, Lucknow, has received corona virus test positive. This is the third positive case of COVID-19 in the capital of Uttar Pradesh, with the total number of cases in the state has now reached 16. Junior doctor is placed in quarantine at KGMU itself. He was part of the medical team that is treating -19 patients.

Earlier, a woman doctor and her relatives had tested positive for this deadly virus. He is undergoing treatment at KGMU. So far 16 corona patients have been confirmed in the state, which are from Agra (8), Lucknow (3), Noida (3) and Ghaziabad (2). Health officials have said that 3 corona patients have fully recovered and they have also been discharged from the hospital. The remaining patients are undergoing treatment.
