Assembly elections are to be held in Uttar Pradesh next year, but before that, the period of change of leaders is going on. In this episode, Samajwadi Party MLA Subhash Pasi joined the Bharatiya Janata Party along with his wife on Tuesday afternoon. He was given the membership of the party by BJP state president Swatantra Dev Singh. Earlier, Subhash Pasi had met Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow.
Subhash Pasi is an MLA from Saidpur assembly seat of Ghazipur district. His joining BJP is being considered as a big setback for the SP. In fact, Subhash Pasi had defeated BJP's state vice-president Vidyasagar Sonkar in the last assembly elections in 2017. His victory was also special because BJP had given its full strength to win that seat.
Subhash Pasi is basically a resident of Malviya Nagar of Saidpur Nagar Panchayat. His wife's name is Reena Pasi, who has been the District Panchayat President. If we talk about the education of Subhas Pasi, then in the year 1975, he has received education from Pune Board Maharashtra till high school.
Subhash Pasi first contested the elections in the year 2012 and became an MLA. His main business is in Mumbai and he lives there with his family. It is believed that apart from Subhash Pasi, the block chief, district panchayat members will also join the BJP. Along with this, many leaders of the Bahujan Samaj Party are also being said to join BJP. At the same time, SP has expelled Subhash Pasi from the party. On behalf of the SP, Subhash has been accused of being involved in anti-party activities.
