CM Yogi Adityanath has taken over the command after the case in Agra was out of control even after the lockdown till May 17 in the country to curb the global epidemic coronavirus infection. Along with changing many responsibilities of the health department, a team of officers has been sent from Lucknow where 752 people are currently infected in Agra while 25 people have died.
The Chief Medical Officer of Agra, Dr. Mukesh Kumar Vats has been removed and Dr. RC Pandey has been posted. CM Yogi Adityanath has directed Principal Secretary Industrial Development Alok Kumar and Principal Secretary Medical Education Rajneesh Dube to take care of and camp in Agra. Now the government will issue guidelines twice daily, along with taking reports twice a day from Agra.
The new CMO of Agra, Dr. RC Pandey has been made. At the same time, Dr. Mukesh Kumar Vats, posted on the post of CMO, has been associated with the DM office. Meanwhile, Additional Director (Medical, Health and Family Welfare) of Agra Division, Dr. Avinash Kumar Singh has been made. He was still posted in the same office as OSD. At the same time, Dr. AK Mittal, who has been posted as Additional Director, has been attached to the office of the Divisional Commissioner.
Agra was under constant watch of governance, due to this only on 2 May, Dr. RC Pandey was sent to the CMO office as OSD and Dr. Avinash Kumar Singh was made OSD of the Additional Director's office. Now Dr. RC Pandey has been made CMO and Dr. Avinash Kumar Singh has been made Additional Director. At the same time, Dr. Mukesh Kumar Vats and Dr. AK Mittal are also retiring on June 30.
