Kamal Rani Varun, a cabinet minister in the Uttar Pradesh government, died of coronavirus on Sunday. She was admitted to Lucknow PGI after tested positive on 18 July. According to doctors, her condition was deteriorated after infection in the lungs and was on a life support system. Let us tell you that she was an MLA from Ghatampur, Kanpur city. Prior to this, she was also a two-time MP.
CM Yogi canceled his Ayodhya Visit:
Kamal Rani was the Minister of Technical Education in Uttar Pradesh. As soon as the news of her death came, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath canceled his previously scheduled visit to Ayodhya. CM Yogi was going to visit Ayodhya today to review the preparations for Bhoomi Pujan.

Her death is an irreparable loss: Chief Minister Yogi
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed condolences to the family while paying a humble tribute to her death. Yogi said that for the past several days, she was undergoing treatment at SGPGI, a reputed medical institute in the state. She was infected with the coronavirus and has sadly passed away this morning. Let us tell you that Kamal Rani Varun was a popular mass leader and senior social worker. She was a member of the 11th and 12th Lok Sabha. In 2017, she was elected MLA from Ghatampur in Kanpur Nagar. The Chief Minister said that Kamala Rani Varun worked very efficiently in the cabinet and her death is an irreparable loss to society, government and the party.
