Before the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, Rakesh Tikait of BKU has intensified the siege of BJP through the farmers' movement. Rakesh Tikait warned the Yogi government on Saturday that if sugarcane prices are not increased, barricading will be started against the Yogi government in the state along with the ongoing agitation against the Center. On the other hand, BJP is also engaged in the exercise of cultivating the farmers. Kisan Sammelans are being organized from place to place by the Kisan Morcha of BJP. In such a situation, before the elections, the farmers' movement and the Yogi government have come face to face.

Price of Sugarcane below Rs 400 per quintal will not be accepted

Rakesh Tikait said that the price of sugarcane below Rs 400 per quintal will not be accepted. He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party had announced in its manifesto before coming to power in 2017. The price of sugarcane would be increased to Rs 370 per quintal, but the rate should also be increased accordingly.

Tikait said that there is information that the UP government is trying to increase the rate of farmers in the state, it is a good thing, but if an attempt is made to mislead in the name of increasing the rate, then Bharatiya Kisan Sangh will cause agitation across the state.

He said that sugarcane arrears should also be cleared soon and electricity prices should also be reduced. Tikait recalled that in the year 2007, the price of sugarcane was increased by Rs 115. While the price of sugarcane was increased by Rs 65 per quintal in the Akhilesh government. Yogi government has so far increased by only Rs 10.

BJP's Kisan Sammelan in Lucknow today

BJP's Kisan Morcha is holding a Kisan Sammelan at the Defense Expo Ground in Lucknow on Sunday (26 September). Kisan Morcha's state president Kameshwar Singh claimed in a conversation with the news channel that more than 20 thousand farmers would gather here. He says that the farmers of the country do not take Rakesh Tikait seriously, he contested elections twice but his bail was forfeited.

Kameshwar Singh said that there is neither anger nor any kind of confusion in the name of agriculture law, but under its guise efforts are being made to defame Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He said that there are some farmer organizations and opposition parties behind this, the public has understood it.
