The Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) released data on vehicles being registered in September. It is clear from these figures that this September vehicle market was down compared to the previous September. Two-wheeler registration in particular decreased by 12.62 percent on a year-on-year basis.
Two-Wheeler Registrations Highest in Ladakh
Two-wheeler registrations accounted for the highest 933% in Ladakh and the lowest 66% in Manipur. There were 11,63,918 two-wheeler registrations in September 2019. At the same time, in September 2020, the registration figure came to 10,16,977. This means 1,46,941 registrations were reduced. According to data released by FADA, two-wheeler registrations in 21 of 30 states were lower than in September 2019. At the same time, in 9 states, these figures were better than in September 2019.
These States has more Registrations for Two-Wheelers
If you look at the figures for two-wheeler registration according to the percentage of states, Ladakh has shown an increase of 933.33%. In September 2019, only 3 two-wheelers were registered here, while in September 2020, the figure increased to 31. At the same time, Tamil Nadu comes in at the top when the figures are viewed according to the registration of the unit. There were 1,20,117 two-wheeler registrations here in September 2019, which increased to 1,43,990 in September 2020. That is, there were 23,873 more two-wheeler registrations.
Fewer Two-Wheeler Registrations in these States
Now, if we talk about those states where the lowest two-wheeler registrations were done in September 2020, the first name by percentage comes from Manipur (66%). There were 653 registrations in September 2020 as compared to 1,953 registrations in September 2019. In view of this figure by the unit in Uttar Pradesh, there were 1,91,233 two-wheeler registrations in September 2019, which stood at 1,28,162 units in September 2020. That means 63,071 two-wheeler registrations were reduced. Similarly, 18,302 two-wheeler registrations were reduced in Rajasthan in September 2020 compared to September 2019.
Hero and Honda Top in Two-Wheeler Category
Hero and Honda have gained much importance in the two-wheeler category. On the basis of data, the market share of Hero and Honda remained almost the same in September 2020. However, there is a big difference in the sale of vehicles. TVS stood at number three in this category, Bajaj at number four and Yamaha at number five.
