Recipe Ingredients:

1 cup wheat flour

½ tsp red chili powder

¼ tsp coriander powder

2 pinch salt

¼ inch grated ginger

4 tsp mustard seeds

¼ tsp garam masala powder

4 tsp turmeric

½ tablespoon lemon juice

½ tablespoon coriander leaves

4 tsp cumin seeds

2 cups of water

To make dough

½ tablespoon semolina

1 pinch of salt

1 tbsp ghee

For main dish:

4 cups washed dried green moong dal

½ tablespoon ghee

½ tablespoon washed and dried chana dal

How to make Dal Bati Churma Recipe:

 Step 1:

First, to make this recipe, add wheat flour, semolina, salt and ghee in a glass bowl. Using hot water with your hands, knead this mixture, making sure that the dough should be hard. Knead the dough into a ping pong ball. Meanwhile, by heating the gas oven, cook the dough balls on low flame for some time. Keep in mind that it should be brown and crusty.

 Step 2:

After this, add some fresh ghee to balls. Now to make the lentils, wash both the pulses together and put 1 cup of water, washed pulses and a pinch of turmeric in the pressure cooker and cook till 2 whistles come. When the lentils are cooked, leave the cooker to cool down and take out the lentils from it.

 Step 3:

Now mix all the masala powder in ½ cup of water and make a thin paste. After this, heat ghee in a pan on medium heat and add cumin and coriander. When it starts to crackle, add ginger to it. Then add spices paste and fry it for 1 minute. Add cooked lentils to it.

Step 4:

After this, add the remaining water and stir it slowly. Boil it. You can also add lemon juice to it. Add salt to it as per your taste. Finally, serve it warm with a wick adorned with chopped coriander leaves.
