3 cups moong dal

1 cup ghee

3 cups of water

2 tablespoons chopped almonds

1 1/2 cups sugar

5 small cardamom

1 cup milk

2 tablespoons chopped cashews

 Step 1:

First of all take moong dal in water for 12 to 15 hours. After this, prepare a smooth thick paste of lentils and if you do not use water to grind it will be better.

 Step 2:

Now when you have the paste of lentils ready, then prepare to make syrup and use whole sugar in it. Adding cardamom to the hot sugar syrup enhances its taste. After this, heat ghee in a pan on low heat.

 Step 3:

After this, when you get so much work, then add gram flour in the ghee and keep stirring it till it turns brown. Then add milk or khoya and cook for a while. If you add khoya, it is necessary to cook for at least 4 minutes, while the milk should be cooked till the cream becomes thick.

 Step 4:

After this, after adding sugar syrup, after some time, turn off the gas, add all the pre-chopped nuts in it and take your moong dal halwa ready to serve.
