After the second wave of COVID-19, many countries had imposed a travel ban from India. Slowly and steadily, now many countries have started lifting the travel ban from India. However, there were few nations like Russia and Egypt that allowed Indian travelers even during the peak of the second wave.
Some of the popular holiday destinations such as Canada, Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States are among those who have imposed restrictions on travel from India.
Here are 5 Holiday Destinations You Can Visit in Covid Times:
Russia is one of the few countries that are allowing tourist visas for Indians. Some tour operators even offered vaccination trips to Russia. Passengers must have a printed negative Covid-19 PCR test result not more than 72 hours before arrival. Passengers must self-isolate for seven days at home or hotel room.
Egypt has opened tourism for Indian travellers although flights. Passengers arriving from countries with a variant of concern will have to take a rapid DNA test on arrival. They would have to show a negative RT-PCR test, no older than 72 hours. Upon testing positive, they can either return or stay under 14 days quarantine.
Though the country is open for Indian tourists, but finding flight options could be a tough ask. Travelers must show a negative RT-PCR report up to 48 hours before departure. Not applicable to passengers below the age of 12 years.
Afghanistan is also among few countries that are allowing tourist visas for Indians. While visas are being issued approved by the embassy, the mission advises against making visits to Kabul due to the Covid situation in the country. Passengers do not need to present an RT-PCR test certificate. However, they will have to self-quarantine at home for 14 days upon the arrival.
Mauritius, one of the popular tourist destinations for Indians, will open to international travelers from July 15, 2021. During the first phase (July 15-September 30, 2021), vaccinated travelers will be permitted a resort holiday.
