To save wages in Maharashtra women Labourers are going for Uterus Removal

On one hand, India wants to achieve the target of $ 5 trillion economy, on the other hand the ground conditions are such that thousands of women are forced to have a uterus to feed. Shameless for the suicides of farmers, there are thousands of compulsive tales of poor laborers in Maharashtra to have their uterus removed. Once again, this issue has been raised by a leader of the Congress party in the government. He has written a letter in this regard to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

In fact, in Marathwada region of Maharashtra, there have been many cases of women getting uterus removed to save wages. The economic conditions of the people here are so bad that women along with men also go on wages every day. But they have to take leave during menstruation and due to this they do not get money for 4-5 days every month. Women are forced to get their uterus to be removed due to the compulsion to feed.

In this case, Congress leader and minister in Maharashtra government Nitin Raut has written to CM Uddhav Thackeray and demanded that he intervene. According to Nitin Raut, the number of women in the sugarcane workers in this area is very high and they get the uterus removed in the cycle of saving their wages. In a letter written to CM Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday, Nitin Raut has said, 'A large number of women laborers do not work during menstrual days. Being absent from work, they do not get wages. In such a situation, women are getting their uterus removed to avoid loss of money, so that there is no menstruation and they do not have to be discharged from work.'

'The number of such women is about 30 thousand'

Congress leader Raut says that the number of such women is around 30,000. Raut says that the sugarcane season is six months old. In these months, if sugarcane crushing factories agree to pay four days wages per month, then this problem can be solved.

Nitin Raut has requested Thackeray in his letter to order the concerned department to resolve the problem of these sugarcane women laborers of Marathwada region on humanitarian grounds. Raut has departments like PWD, Tribal Affairs, Women and Child Development, Textiles, Relief and Rehabilitation. In addition to the Shiv Sena, the Congress and NCP are also included in the coalition government of Maharashtra.
