Bangkok: Thousands of women were forced into marriage from northern Myanmar, a study said, offering a rare look at an issue that grips that conflict the borderlands.

China has around 33million fewer than men due to the decade's long one-child policy.

Ten of thousands of women are sold as brides each year, some going willingly while other were being trafficked.

Based on the interview from the sources of people who escaped and returned to Myanmar. The study said that most of the women were forced to carry a child for their husband.

Women leave Myanmar because of conflict, poverty and displacement said report. While in China the imbalance ratio between male-female sex was not in level especially in a rural area that means demands for the wife are high.

The study also found that the women hired to bear their children for their husband, and sold her to new to recoup the money.

Researchers called for Myanmar to end the conflict, and to train the trafficking official to enforce the law and to recognize the women as a victim.
