Due to the lockdown, auto companies are adopting a digitization approach to launch their vehicles.  For this reason, the launch of car companies is being seen slowly.  In the past 7 days, two cars, three motorcycles and one commercial vehicle have been launched in the Indian market.  These include the Hyundai Verna facelift, Renault Triber Easy-R AMT, 2020 Kawasaki Versys 1000, BMW F900R, BMW F900 XR and Maruti Suzuki Super Carry BS6 CNG.

Hyundai has launched its new Verna in the Indian market, which is the country's first fully connected mid-size sedan.  The company has kept its initial price of Rs 9.30 lakh which goes up to Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).  Compared to the old model, this vehicle now comes with more bold, attractive design, intelligent technology, advanced performance and best features.  The new Verna has BS6 standard diesel and petrol engines.  It has a 1.0-liter turbo GDI with 7-speed dual clutch transmission, 1.5-liter BS6 petrol with 6-speed manual transmission and intelligent variable transmission and 1.5-liter BS6 diesel engine with 6-speed manual transmission and 6-speed automatic transmission.

BMW Motorrad India has launched two new middleweight motorcycles BMW F 900 R and F 900 XR in India.  The company has priced the F 900 R naked sports bike at Rs 9.9 lakh.  At the same time, the F 900 XR has priced an adventure sport tourer at Rs 10.5 lakh, while the F 900 XR Pro has been priced at Rs 11.5 lakh.  BMW is strengthening its grip in the middleweight segment and is an affordable motorcycle compared to the BMW S 1000 R and S 1000 XR.  Both the motorcycles have an 895 cc parallel-twin engine, which comes with 86 mm more bore.

It has the same 77 mm stroke and is derived from the 853cc motor which is available in the F 750 GS and F 850 ​​GS.  This engine generates 105 bhp of power at 8,500 rpm and torque of 92 Nm at 8,500 rpm.  The new engine comes with two balancer shafts to keep the vibration checked and also to carry more weight.  The F 900 R takes 3.7 seconds to catch a speed of 0 to 100 kmph.  At the same time, the XR takes 3.6 seconds to catch the same speed.
