To give relief to the passengers during the festive season, Northern Railway has started 34 special trains. These additional trains are being run from different stations of Delhi to Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Saharsa, Patna, Purnia, Barauni, Bhagalpur and Katihar in Bihar. The number of special trains has also been increased for many more major stations including Lucknow, Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.
On the occasion of Diwali and Chhath, a large number of people from Delhi move to their native place of residence. Especially people from Bihar and Eastern UP go in large numbers for Chhath Puja, due to which the trains are very crowded. In view of this, the Railways has decided to run additional trains like every year.
Anand Vihar Terminal-Bhagalpur Special (04002)
This weekly train will run between Anand Vihar Terminal to Bhagalpur on Thursday from October 24 to October 31. From Anand Vihar this train will open at 6.35 pm and reach Bhagalpur in 5.30 pm. At the same time, this train from Bhagalpur will open at 6.45 pm on Friday and will reach Anand Vihar at 5.30 pm the next day.
New Delhi-Darbhanga Special (04406)
This weekly train will open from New Delhi at 7.25 pm on 18 October and reach Darbhanga at 7.15 pm the next day. At the same time, on October 19 this train will open from Darbhanga at 8.55 pm and reach New Delhi at 10.10 pm the next day.
New Delhi-Patna Junction Suvidha Special (82404)
This train will open from New Delhi at 2.55 pm on 25,28 and 31 October and will reach Patna Junction at 8.30 am the next day. The next day the train will open from Patna at 12 noon and reach New Delhi at four in the evening.
New Delhi Patna-Junction Special (04078)
This train will open from New Delhi at 2.55 pm on 26 October, 29 October and 1 November and will reach Patna Junction at 8.30 am the next day. The next day this train will open from Patna Junction at 12 noon and reach New Delhi at four in the evening.
Delhi-Darbhanga Suvidha Special (82410)
This train will run two days a week on Monday and Thursday from October 7 to November 4. This train will open from Old Delhi at 11 am and reach Darbhanga at 8.30 am the next day. The next day this train will open from Darbhanga at 12 noon and reach Delhi at 12.40 pm the next day.
New Delhi-Darbhanga Suvidha Special (82414)
This train will run three days a week on Wed, Ravi and Thursday till 22, 26 and 30 October. This train will open from New Delhi at 12.20 pm and reach Darbhanga at 11.45 pm the next day. The next day this train will open from Darbhanga at 4.30 pm and reach New Delhi at 5.55 am the next day.
Anand Vihar Terminal-Barauni Special
04002 special train from Anand Vihar Terminal will run every Thursday from 24 October to 31 October for Bhagalpur. At the same time, 04404 special train from New Delhi to Barauni will run on Tuesday and Friday. 04405 special train from New Delhi to Darbhanga will leave on Friday.
Anand Vihar Terminal-Katihar Special (04052)
This train will run on Mercury, Saturn, Mars three days a week and on Friday 23, 26, 29 and 1 November. This train will open from Anand Vihar terminal at 11.45 am and reach Katihar at 12.45 pm the next day. The next day this train will open from Katihar at 8 pm and reach Anand Vihar at 11 pm the next day.
New Delhi-Saharsa Special (04408)
This weekly train will open from New Delhi at 7.25 pm on November 1 and will reach Saharsa at 8 pm the next day. The next day this train will open from Saharsa at 10.15 pm and reach New Delhi at 10.10 pm the next day.
Delhi-Muzaffarpur Suvidha Special (82402)
This weekly train will open from Old Delhi at 1.30 pm on 29 October and will reach Muzaffarpur at 1 pm the next day. The next day this train will open from Muzaffarpur at 2.15 pm and reach Old Delhi at 1.45 pm.
New Delhi-Varanasi Special (04202)
This weekly train will open from New Delhi on October 19 at 3.30 pm and reach Varanasi at seven in the next day. The next day this train will open from Varanasi at 9.50 am and reach New Delhi at 1.45 pm.
