On rising pollution levels in Delhi, Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that the biggest role in the increase of pollution in the state is of burning stubble in Punjab, Haryana and neighboring states. In the last 15 days, the incidents of stubble burning in Delhi increased, which increased the havoc of Corona and made the lives of people more venerable. In such a situation, it is the moral responsibility of the Center as well as neighboring states to deal with the straw.
Bio decomposers used in 2000 farms in 25 villages of Delhi
The Delhi government has filed a petition before the Central Air Quality Management Commission (CAQMC) for the purpose of implementing the bio decomposer of stubble smelting Pusa Institute in neighboring states. The Delhi government has submitted a report of 15 members on the basis of the results of bio decomposers used in 2000 farms in 25 villages of Delhi and the conversion of straw into compost.

Bio decomposer was sprayed free of cost in about 2000 acres
The Indian Agricultural Research Institute’s bio decomposer has been successfully used in Delhi. In such a situation, the Delhi government has filed a petition in front of the stubble smelting bio decomposer Central Air Quality Management Commission (CAQMC). Bio decomposer was sprayed free of cost in about 2000 acres of farmland in Delhi and starch has turned into compost up to 95%.
A 15-member committee was formed to assess the impact in Delhi. This committee has prepared a ground report for 25 villages by visiting Narela, Bawana, Mundka, Bijwasan. This report has been included in the petition. The commission told that instead of the expenditure on machines and the cost of farmers for removing the straw, the governments can get farmers sprayed free of cost at half the cost. Delhi government is ready to help the neighboring states. Instead of burning the straw, melting the starch will not only get rid of pollution, but also proves helpful in making the field fertilizer.

The Delhi government has demanded from the commission that after successful use in Delhi, spraying of bio decomposers of Pusa Institute should be made mandatory in other states. Gopal Rai said that we hope that the commission will seriously issue instructions to all states to implement the process of bio decomposer.
