“The Way they Eat Poha” made me Realise they are Bangladeshi – Kailash Vijayvargiya

BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya has now made a controversial statement after PM Modi's 'identifying from clothes' statement against those involved in protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He said that by the 'way of eating poha' of the workers, I understood that they are Bangladeshi.

Taking part in a discussion on 'Democracy-Constitution-Citizenship', Vijayvargiya said, 'I found that they are bangladeshi was by the way of eating poha as it was little strange and they were only eating poha. I spoke to him and his contractor and asked if they were Bangladeshi? After that, those laborers did not come to work at all.

Vijayvargiya further said that I have not lodged a complaint with the police at present about this matter. I only mentioned those workers to make people aware. He said, 'Don't be misled by rumors, CAA has interest in the country. This law will give citizenship to genuine refugees and identify intruders. These intruders are a threat to the internal security of the country.

Significantly, earlier in the election rally held in Dumka, Jharkhand, while attacking the Congress, the PM said, 'Congress and its allies are creating storms. If they do not listen, then they are spreading arson. Who they are, who is on fire, they are known only by their clothes. There is no hope left from these people to do good for the country and to do good for the people of the country. They only think about their family. '
