Women who have more sexual intercourse are less likely to stop periods. The probability of menopause in women who have sex once a week is 28 percent less than women who have sex once a month. This research has been found in research. Researchers said that physical signs of sexual intercourse may indicate to the body that there is a possibility of becoming pregnant.
The study says that menopause is seen in women who do not have frequent sexual intercourse during mid-life (35 and above).
University College of London scholar Megan Arnot said, "The findings of the study suggest that if a woman is not having sex and there is no chance of conception, the body stops ovulation because it would be in vain."
The study says that during ovulation, the immunity of the woman deteriorates, which makes the body more susceptible to disease. The research is based on data collected from 2,936 women under the SWAN study in 1996/1997.
During this time the women were asked to answer many questions, including whether they had had sexual intercourse with their partner in the last six months.
Apart from sexual intercourse, he was also asked other questions related to sexual arousal during the last six months, in which detailed information about oral sex, sexual touch, and self-stimulation or masturbation was also taken.
Weekly (64 percent) maximum number of responses were seen in sexual activity. Over a ten-year follow-up period, 1,324 (45 percent) out of 2,936 women experienced natural periods at an average age of 52 years.
Menopause is a condition when the menstrual cycle in women stops. Actually it is considered the end of fertility. The report of the research has been published in the journal Royal Society Open Science. Its cause has not been mentioned in the study published in this journal.
