A disputed comment by the judge of the Kerala High Court, Judge V Chitadresh has created a stir. Judges are usually away from public rhetoric, but the High Court judge V. Chitmesh said addressing a program that Brahmins are born twice. He said that Brahmins are born twice on the basis of deeds of previous lives and Brahmins are present in all virtues. Their statement can make them difficult for them.
Not only this, he advocated a new debate by advocating for economic support for Brahmins. Justice Chitrangesh said in the speech that Brahmins should oppose reservation based on caste or religion and demand it on an economic basis.
During a program organized by the Kerala Brahmin Sabha, Justice Chitradesh said that this is the time that you raise questions on the basis of all Brahmin reservations. While holding a constitutional post, it would not be right for me to keep my opinion on this matter, but I am reminding you that there are such platforms where you can raise your voice.
He further said in the speech that for the financially backward, 10% reservation has been arranged recently. He said that even if the son of a Brahmin cook comes in noncreamy layer, he will not get the benefit of the reservation system. But the son of a wooden businessman who belongs to the backward class, he will definitely get the benefits of reservation. So this is the time that you all come forward and raise your voice about it.
