Indian boxers reached the quarterfinals of the Thailand Open international boxing meet in Bangkok on Monday.

Asian Championships Silver medallist Deepak (49kg) and Bronze medallist Manisha Moun (57kg) set up flawless exhibitions as an aggregate of seven Indian fighters achieved the quarterfinals of the Thailand Open international boxing meet Bangkok on Monday.

Joining Deepak and Manisha were Strandja Cup gold medallist Nikhat Zareen (51kg), Asian Championships silver medallist Ashish Kumar (75kg), Strandja Cup silver medallist Manju Rani (48kg) and India Open silver medallist Brijesh Yadav (81kg).

Bhagyabati Kachari has just achieved the quarterfinal in women's 75kg category after getting a first-round bye in a field of 10 fighters.

Deepak barely started to sweat against Morrocan Said Mortaji, scoring up a directing 5-0 win to book his place in the quarters. In 75kg, Ashish Kumar was made to drudge by nearby expectation Aphisit Khankhokkruea before he won by a split decision of 4-1.

After winning her opening session barely against Thailand's Panpatchara Somnuek, Manisha bounced back emphatically to verify a consistent 5-0 win upon Sri Lanka's Sajeewani Srimali.

Prior, Nikhat Zareen was radiant in her first session against Australia's Tasmyn Benny whom she beat 5-0. Manju Rani was similarly noteworthy and ruled Chantilath Daomayuly of Laos 5-0 while Brijesh Yadav cruised past Croatia's Matej Uremovic 5-0.

Upwards of 247 fighters from 37 nations are participating in the competition to test themselves against a portion of the world's best pugilists in front of the World Championships slated later in the year. Five women and six men from India are vying for top honours in the meet which will continue till July 27.
