The conflict between Israel and Palestinian continues to escalate. It is now reported that on Sunday, four rockets were fired from Palestinian militants towards Israel. According to The Times of Israel, two rockets have been fired from the Gaza Strip into the city of Ashkelon and its surroundings. Two more rockets have been claimed to have been fired here earlier as well. This information has been given by The Israel Defense Force (IDF).

According to the army, the first two rockets were intercepted with the help of the Iron Dome Missile Defense System. While in the second time, two other rockets fell into an open area. No damage is acknowledged till now.

The violent clash took place near Al-Aqsa Mosque on Friday

Earlier on May 7, there was a clash between police and Palestinian civilians in the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem. Al-Aqsa Mosque is the third holiest place in Islam. It also has great significance for Jews. Since the month of Ramadan is going on. Due to this, many people gathered here on 7 May. The President of Palestinian blamed the Israeli government for the clash. He has said that he supports Aqsa Heroes.

560 injured have been treated so far

According to a report by The Palestine Red Crescent, 14 more people were treated on Sunday amid violence and clashes in Jerusalem. In the last 3 days, 560 injured have been treated. Violence still continues in Jerusalem. There are reports of Palestinians gathering at West Bank outposts near Ramallah.

What is the reason for these clashes?

Actually, Israel banned some cities. It is in these parts that Palestinian citizens gather for namaz. Both Israel and Palestine claim part of East Jerusalem.

It is being told that Israel has decided to evict more than 70 Palestinian civilians from Sheikh Jarrah. So that right-wing Jews can replace it.
