Xiaomi is going to launch Redmi 8 as an upgrade of Redmi 7 in India today. This smartphone will get dual rear camera and fingerprint scanner in the rear. Many of its specifications have also appeared in the leaks before launch. The launch event for Redmi 8 will begin at 11am IST.

Talking about the specifications of Redmi 8, according to reports, it will run on Android 9 Pie based MIUI 10.0.1.3. According to the information received, this entry level phone will come in four color options – Ash, Blue, Green and Red. It is discussed that this phone will come with plastic body and it will get Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor.
Similarly, a 6.21-inch HD + (720×1520 pixels) TFT display has also been reported in Redmi 8. At the same time, 12 megapixel primary sensor can be given in its rear for photography. An 8-megapixel camera is expected to be given here for the selfie. These can come in three variants – 2GB + 16GB, 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB.
