WhatsApp Pay is going to be launched in India soon. For this, WhatsApp Pay has also got a license from the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI). Now payments can be made with the help of Unified Payment Interface (UPI) through WhatsApp. Let us know that WhatsApp is testing this on its beta version since 2018.

WhatsApp has partnered with ICICI Bank on WhatsApp Pay. However, WhatsApp has not officially confirmed the license from NPCI. According to the Business Standard report, 1 million people will get access to WhatsApp Pay. This will be for the puzzle phase. The number of people using WhatsApp in India is more than 40 crores.

Mark Zuckerberg said about the Facebook-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp, that the feature of WhatsApp Pay is going to be updated in the next six months. Apart from India, WhatsApp Pay will also be launched in Indonesia, Mexico, and Brazil.

Whatsapp is the most popular messaging app in the world and crores of people use this app in India too. Apart from text messages, voice calls and video calls are also available. The reason for its popularity is said to be quite simple and user-friendly. Currently, Jan Koum is handling the responsibility of WhatsApp. Jan Koum is also included in Facebook's Board of Directors.
