Two Indian Engineers Started E-Comerce Company, Facebook to Buy Share

Facebook has announced an investment in an Indian e-commerce startup Meesho. This company was started by two engineering graduates. Meesho is a platform that enables Indian entrepreneurs to set up online businesses through social channels.

Facebook has announced an investment in an Indian e-commerce startup Meesho. This company was started by two engineering graduates. This is Facebook's first investment in any Indian startup.

Meeshois a platform that enables Indian entrepreneurs to set up online businesses through social channels.

However, social networking giant Facebook has not disclosed how much money Vidit Atre and Sanjeev Baranwal. Prior to this, the company has already secured a fund of about $ 6.5 million from companies like Shunwei Capital and DST Partners.

According to news agency IANS, Facebook India's Managing Director and Vice President Ajit Mohan said in a statement: "We are excited about India and its fast growing internet ecosystem. With this investment in Meesho, we want to fuel a business model, which can result in rapid employment generation and there will be a female entrepreneur in India. "

In 2017, Facebook had presented a program to help women companies founded – Shellades Tech. According to Misho's co-founder Vidit Atre, 'Misha was born in IIT and the company has added 15,000 suppliers 20,00,000 resellers across the country in just four years.'

Atre said, 'We share a common goal with enabling the community with Facebook and helping small businesses grow. Facebook's commitment will help us to grow faster towards our goal.

Meso is a company reselling everything from jewelery to mobile phones, and it reaches potential customers from social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram. It has about 22 lakh business people connected to small towns and towns in the country.
