Xiaomi is launching Redmi 8A in India today. It will be launched as an upgrade to Redmi 7A. For the last few days, the company was teasing it through its social media channels. The company is not organizing any physical event for its launch. Rather it will be launched through live streaming. According to the information so far, a waterdrop notch display will be given in it. Also, fast charging support will also be provided in it.
Apart from this, there has also been talk of giving a big battery in this phone. Some of its specifications have also been revealed in the TENAA listing before the launch. The live streaming of the launch of Redmi 8A will be done via Xiaomi India YouTube channel. The live event will start at 12 noon. As far as the price is concerned, the price of Redmi 8A can be kept around the price of Redmi 7A. The price of 2GB / 16GB variant of Redmi 7A is Rs 5,999.
Specifications of Redmi 8A
Xiaomi has already confirmed that the Waterdrop style notch will be given in the Redmi 8A. Also, it will come with Aura Wave grip design. It is likely that a 5000mAh battery will also be provided with fast charging support.
In a recent teaser, Xiaomi India Chief Manu Kumar Jain tweeted that Redmi 8A will come with USB Type-C port. Which is not common in this segment.
According to the TENAA listing, this smartphone will have a 6.2-inch HD + (720×1520 pixels) TFT display, octa-core processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. At the same time, 12MP primary sensor and 8MP selfie camera will be given in the rear for photography.
